The PTA has offered Class Funds to classroom teachers for many years. In 2023-24, we are again funding classes at $25/student. We are funding SDC classes at the 22 student rate instead of 12 students, to address issues of equity.
These funds are made possible thanks to the efforts of the PTA. We ask that you please keep this in mind throughout the year by getting involved with the PTA and/or helping remind the families in your classes about PTA meetings, fundraisers, and events. Your help is essential to our success in making these funds available every year!
Note: Class Funds doesn't cover buses anymore. It isn't covered by PTA insurance. Please plan accordingly.
Review the guidelines to see what's covered.
Check the 2023-24 CF Ledger to see current balances (updates every 5 minutes).
To get reimbursed, go to bit.ly/lscftemplate
Log in with your SFUSD account or personal Google account.
Click "Make a copy" of the Class Funds Template and rename your spreadsheet file so it reads "Class Funds - <your name> - <today's date>"
Follow the instructions at top left of spreadsheet.
Note: Your included receipts can be photos, scans, or PDFs, but they must be LEGIBLE. We cannot reimburse receipts that we cannot read. It's fine to take multiple close-up photos to capture a long receipt.
In 2023-24, there is a pot of $5,000 for classroom teachers within the first 4 years of their time at Lakeshore. It's called "New Teacher Class Set-Up Funds." The intention is to provide funds to complete your room setup. We hear the first few years of teaching are often more costly since you have to set up your room from scratch. Even after the first year, you may still be learning what you need for your room. This fund is first come, first served.
Review the guidelines to see what is and what is not covered.
Check the ledger at 2023-24 New Teacher Ledger to see current balances (updates every 5 minutes). Note that you'll see a total for the entire pot of money, as it is not allocated per person.
Use the same reimbursement form as for teacher Class Funds.
When in doubt, ask the PTA first before spending.
